Minnesota Asks Supreme Court to Review State’s Gun Age Limit Law

The Minnesota Public Safety Commissioner asked the US Supreme Court to review a federal appeals court decision striking down the state’s law barring 18-to-20-year-olds from publicly carrying guns.

The US Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit’s 2024 ruling saying Minnesota’s law is unconstitutional should be tossed and sent back to the appeals court for reconsideration because it didn’t account for the Supreme Court’s most recent decision on gun rights, United States v. Rahimi, Minnesota’s petition said.
