Massachusetts Country Club, City End Stormwater Discharge Suit

A Massachusetts country club has agreed to end its suit against the city of Westfield over allegations that a faulty sewer system allowed polluted stormwater to flow onto a public golf course.

Shaker Farms Inc. and the city jointly asked the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts to dismiss the case Wednesday. The parties agreed to waive all rights of appeal, “with the intent that said dismissal shall be a final nonappealable judgment,” their stipulation said. Neither the stipulation nor the docket indicate whether the parties settled, or any potential terms.
