L’Oréal, Matrix Get Keratin Hair Product Classes Decertified

Consumers alleging L’Oréal USA Inc. and Matrix Essentials LLC duped them into thinking hair products contain keratin saw their class status undone when a New York federal court said they failed to show classwide damages consistent with their deception theory.

Brandi Price and Christine Chadwick alleged they and others overpaid for Matrix Biolage Keratindose Pro-Keratin+ Silk Shampoo, Pro-Keratin+ Silk Conditioner, and Pro-Keratin Renewal Spray, because the products lacked the protective protein keratin.
