LinkedIn Learning Video Privacy Suit Voluntarily Dismissed

A LinkedIn Learning user voluntarily withdrew her proposed Video Privacy Protection Act class action over the professional social network’s allegedly improper disclosures to third-party online trackers.

LinkedIn was previously stuck with plaintiff Courtney Cole’s complaint after the US District Court for the Northern District of California said Cole sufficiently alleged LinkedIn is a video tape service provider, she is a protected consumer, and the Microsoft unit knowingly disclosed her personal data.
