LG, TCL Get Early Wins in Paxton’s Illegal TV Spying Litigation

Technology giants LG Electronics USA and TCL Technology Group North America Inc. earned early victories against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s (R) attack on TV companies he says are recording what viewers watch without their consent.

LG and TCL won’t have to cease collection of user data after judges denied Paxton’s requests for temporary restraining orders Friday, court records show. The hearings were held in separate counties in state district court.
