A Cleveland-area tattoo artist on Friday moved to drop his federal copyright cases against the makers of the popular NBA 2K video game series, which alleged the game makers used his ink work on LeBron James and other players without his permission.

Jimmy Hayden, along with 2K Games Inc. and parent company Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. told the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit that they were dismissing all claims in the case the Cincinnati-based appeals court was set to review after a jury in April 2024 issued a verdict in favor of the game makers.
