Lawsuit Over Crystal Light Label Claims Dismissed by Both Sides

A proposed class action brought by a consumer of Crystal Light alleging Kraft Heinz Co. deceptively conceals artificial flavors in its drink mixes has ended, after the parties filed a joint stipulation for its dismissal.

  • Plaintiff Peggy Tatum alleged dl-malic acid functions as a flavor in the drink mixes and that the “no artificial flavors” label statements could deceive a reasonable consumer. Kraft argued the substance is a flavor enhancer, and disclosure isn’t required
