Kraft Heinz Faces Crystal Light Label Claims but Exits MiO Suit

Crystal Light consumers raised viable deception claims that Kraft Heinz Co. conceals the presence of artificial flavors in the drink mixes, but the company shook off a similar proposed class suit over its MiO water enhancers.

At issue in the suits was dl-malic acid, which plaintiffs alleged is a synthetic flavor. Both suits were before Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
