Lands’ End Defeats Toxic Delta Airlines Uniforms Suit on Appeal

A federal appeals court Thursday said Lands’ End Inc. properly won judgment on claims that its uniforms for Delta Airlines were toxic and unreasonably dangerous.

“None of the plaintiffs’ experts offered testimony establishing that the uniforms were defective,” and the lower court properly excluded expert testimony that relied on faulty data, the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit said.

Hundreds of Delta employees said the uniforms leached dyes through a process called crocking, and that the chemicals in the fabric caused multiple health problems.
