Los Angeles residents have more confidence in their state trial court than any other governmental institution.
Nearly two-thirds of residents surveyed in a new county-wide poll said they were confident in California Superior Court, Los Angeles County—more than the county police department and the broader California court system, and certainly more than the federal court system and the US Supreme Court. The L.A. trial court is the nation’s largest.
The poll, conducted at the state trial court’s request and released Thursday, marks an early manifestation of new Presiding Judge Sergio Tapia II’s commitment to rebuild public trust in the court. ...
