Jetblue Airways Defeats Second Session-Replay Class Action

JetBlue Airways Corp. defeated a proposed class action alleging it collected personal information from website visitors without their consent in violation of California privacy laws.

Plaintiff Luther Toston didn’t have standing to pursue his claims in federal court because he didn’t allege he had suffered a concrete injury through the data collection, Judge Stephen V. Wilson of the US District Court for the Central District of California said Wednesday.

Wilson’s ruling came two months after the Southern District of California dismissed a similar lawsuit against JetBlue over its use of the website-surveillance software.
