The Inter-American Foundation’s president’s bid to stop the Department of Government Efficiency’s overhaul of her agency succeeded after a district court ruled she was likely to prevail in her lawsuit Friday.
IAF President Sara Aviel’s motion for a preliminary injunction was granted by the US District Court for the District of Columbia. Aviel sought injunctive relief to stop the Elon Musk-led DOGE from “fully” dismantling IAF and removing her from its leadership. IAF invests in “community-led development” across Latin America and the Caribbean.
