DOGE Faces Another Suit Over Efforts to Remove US Agency Leader

The Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency is trying to unlawfully dismantle the Inter-American Foundation and decapitate its leadership, the group’s president said in a new lawsuit Monday.

The new suit builds upon similar legal challenges from federal grant recipients alleging DOGE is unconstitutionally attempting to shutter their organizations in the name of reducing wasteful government spending. A district court ruled on March 11 that DOGE, which is spearheaded by Elon Musk, may continue changing the leadership of the US African Development Foundation and narrowing its operations.
