Texas’ chief financial officer no longer faces claims over the state backing out of a 10-year lease agreement before rent was due, as the landlord says the dispute is now resolved.
Horizon Bank moved to dismiss the case on Feb. 24, which Judge Robert Pitman of the US District Court for the Western District of Texas granted a day later.
Pitman had previously ruled Comptroller of Public Accounts Glenn Hegar (R) wasn’t entitled to exit the 2023 lawsuit.
“The underlying issues central to plaintiff’s claims have been resolved, and accordingly, plaintiff moves for voluntary dismissal,” Horizon said in its motion. ...
