Broken Lease Agreement Claims Proceed Against Texas Comptroller

Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Glenn Hegar (R) can be sued in federal court after the state walked away from a 10-year lease agreement with a private landlord before rent was due.

US District Judge Robert Pitman of the Western District of Texas on Friday dismissed state claims against Hegar but said federal claims against him can continue.
