Home Depot and Workers’ $72.5 Million Settlement Wins Approval

A $72.5 million settlement between Home Depot USA Inc. and workers in California won preliminary court approval.

The deal comes after more than seven years of litigation between the parties over allegations the company didn’t pay workers for all of the hours they worked. The workers said Home Depot made them wait off the clock during closing shifts, walk to the back of the store to get their aprons before clocking in, and wrongly rounded off some of their time.
