Google Settles Age Discrimination Suit With Ex-Cloud Director

Google LLC and former Cloud director Jeffrey Keplar have reached an agreement ending Keplar’s federal and Texas age bias claims against the company.

Keplar sued Google in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas in 2022, saying he was fired at age 64 for being too old and replaced with a worker 17 years younger. The settlement comes after Keplar’s age bias claims survived Google’s motion to dismiss in November.

Attorneys for Google and Keplar didn’t immediately disclose the terms of the settlement.
