Google, Patent Holders Reach Deal Over Power Supply Technology

Google LLC and two tech patent holders agreed to end a dispute over the tech giant’s alleged use of the patent to run its data center in Midlothian, Texas.

Judge Karen Gren Scholar dismissed the case with prejudice, with each party bearing its own costs, according to a Dec. 19 order with the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Valtrus Innovations Ltd. and Key Patent Innovations Ltd. sued Google in December 2024 for allegedly infringing a patent directed multiple power supply control in data centers.
