A Florida county told a federal court that a transgender, nonbinary guidance counselor’s discrimination suit must be dismissed, in large part because many of the claims have already been litigated.
Kezia Gilyard sued Broward County’s school board in July, alleging that their supervisor misgendered them, and led others to do the same. The Fort Lauderdale-based school board told the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida that the lawsuit is “Gilyard’s fourth attempt to seek review of the same allegations based on the same facts against the same party.”
