FedEx to Face 75-Year-Old Engineer’s Age Discrimination Claims

Federal Express Corp. lost a bid to wipe out federal and state age discrimination claims brought by a former 75-year-old employee.

The blow comes after the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida in November 2024 granted the shipping company a dismissal. While FedEx asserted here that Alonso Rhenals’ claims should be dismissed again because they’re time-barred, the same Florida court denied the shipping giant’s motion to dismiss, because Rhenals filed his complaint within the Florida Civil Rights Act’s four-year limitation period for statutory claims.
