FedEx Gets Dismissal of 75-Year-Old Employee’s Age Bias Claim

Federal Express Corp. isn’t liable for age discrimination after it fired a 75-year-old engineer, a federal court said.

Alonso Rhenals failed to show that “he was replaced or treated less favorably than a similarly situated employee,” Judge Beth Bloom said Monday for the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida, dismissing his claims without prejudice.
