Fat Tuesday, Bartender Settle Pregnancy Bias, Accommodation Suit

The companies behind Fat Tuesday and a former bartender agreed to end a lawsuit claiming she was unlawfully fired days after disclosing her pregnancy.

A trial set for Jan. 27 was canceled after the parties notified the US District Court for the District of Nevada of their settlement. Jessica Martinez-Arriaga sued Briggs Management LLC and Briggs Management Inc. in 2023 for wrongful termination, pregnancy discrimination, and failure to accommodate, among other state law claims.
