Ex-Ohio Utilities Regulator Faces Discipline Over Law License

Ohio’s former top utilities regulator, who’s charged in state and federal court for alleged corruption, violated attorney ethics rules with the actions he took related to FirstEnergy Corp., state disciplinary authorities said.

Samuel Randazzo, the 74-year-old former chairman of the state Public Utilities Commission, is accused of three counts of misconduct that include violating multiple ethics rules, according to a complaint filed Monday by the state’s Office of Disciplinary Counsel.
