Bryan Freedman, a high-profile entertainment litigator representing United Talent Agency Inc., won his bid to dismiss a case by Media Link LLC ex-leader Michael Kassan that alleged Freedman’s “pathological liar” comment about him in an article was defamatory.
Kassan said in his complaint that he waived a $10 million severance package for the right to compete with UTA when he resigned from his media and marketing consulting firm Media Link LLC, which UTA owns. He alleged that Freedman’s comment was meant to “create a noncompete by defamation.”
