DraftKings Gets Settlement in Principle Over Meta Info Sharing

DraftKings Inc. reached a settlement in principle with a plaintiff who alleged that the digital sports entertainment and gaming company shared their viewing history with Meta Platforms.

The sports betting company said that there was no authority to suggest that “live, interactive online casino games are the type of ‘prerecorded’ video content that is governed by the” Video Privacy Protection Act, according to a recent motion to dismiss filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
