DoorDash Delivery Driver Must Arbitrate Overtime Allegations

A DoorDash Inc. delivery driver must take his wage-and-hour allegations to arbitration after a federal judge adopted a magistrate’s report recommending the court grant the company’s motion to compel.

The worker accuses the delivery platform of misclassifying him as an independent contractor, depriving him of minimum and overtime wages he would receive as an employee. Neither side objected to the magistrate’s recommendations, so Judge Carlos E. Mendoza of the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida adopted the report Thursday.
