DoorDash Driver Claims Company Owes Hourly, OT Wages (Correct)

Doordash Inc. doesn’t pay its delivery drivers minimum wage or overtime wages in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act, a driver alleged in a proposed class action filed Friday in Florida federal court.

The proposed class of delivery drivers, led by Rafael Silva, says that because Doordash drivers are “engaged in the production of goods” for commerce, they are subject to individual coverage under the FLSA.

The drivers weren’t paid the minimum wage for hours they worked, and weren’t compensated for overtime hours, the proposed class alleged.
