Consumers Urge Nod for $15 Million Seresto Pet Collar Settlement

Elanco Animal Health Inc. and others have agreed to pay $15 million to resolve litigation over Seresto pet collars that allegedly sickened dogs and cats and caused some pet deaths.

The proposed nationwide class settlement provides good recovery, pet owners said in a Thursday filing that asked a federal judge in Illinois for preliminary approval.

Plaintiffs alleged that the collars contained toxic ingredients. Some said they overpaid for dangerous products, and others said their pets were harmed, resulting in out-of-pocket costs for veterinary care and death-related expenses.
