ComEd Four Work New Angle on FCPA Record-Keeping Convictions

Former Commonwealth Edison insiders accused of bribing ex-Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan (D) are asking a Chicago federal court to undo convictions for falsifying the company’s records in light of a US Supreme Court decision that drew a distinction between “false” and “misleading” statements.

The US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois already vacated the bribery convictions of the “ComEd Four” based on the Supreme Court’s 2024 decision in Snyder v. United States.
