Class Attorneys in Family Dollar Rodent Lawsuit Get $10 Million

Plaintiffs’ attorneys who negotiated a class action settlement with Family Dollar Stores Inc. will get their requested $10 million fee after a federal judge said the request was reasonable in light of additional information provided by the attorneys.

The uncapped settlement gives residents of six states $25 gift cards if they bought a product between Jan. 1, 2020 and Feb. 18, 2022 from one of the hundreds of Family Dollar stores forced to close after the Food and Drug Administration discovered rodents at a distribution center.
