Chinese Vaping Product Ban Down to Just One Texas Defendant

A challenge to a Texas law banning the sale of e-cigarettes containing ingredients manufactured in China is down to a single defendant after a federal judge dismissed six others.

Judge Keith Ellison, who previously denied an early request to stop the law from taking effect, signaled he’ll soon decide whether to also dismiss the remaining defendant, Kelly Hancock, the state’s acting comptroller of public accounts, effectively ending the case.
