Canidae Limited Ingredient Dog Food False Ad Deal Gets First OK

Canidae Corp. and a nationwide class of dog owners got a California federal court’s early approval for an uncapped settlement resolving allegations they were deceived about the ingredients of “limited ingredient” dog food.

The deal, tentatively approved April 2 by Judge Jesus G. Bernal of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, provides a maximum benefit of $125. It covers all persons in the U.S. who bought some 52 varieties of Canidae dog food after July 9, 2016.
