Canidae Sued Over ‘Limited Ingredient’ Dog Food Marketing

Pet food maker Canidae Corp. misleads consumers into thinking its “limited ingredient” dog foods don’t contain soy or chicken, ingredients that often trigger allergic reactions, a new would-be class suit in a California federal court alleges.

Californian Sarah Hill and New Yorker Monica O’Rourke say they bought various Canidae products based on ingredient lists that didn’t include soy or chicken, and label representations that the foods were “grain free,” the suit in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California alleges.
