The California Supreme Court told the state bar Thursday to revise planned amendments to the conflicts of interest code for board trustees, saying its proposed changes fail to satisfy statutory requirements for disclosure and prevention.
The justices ordered the changes in the court-prompted proposal, the latest fallout from the Thomas Girardi affair in which the now-disbarred attorney was found to have manipulated relationships with bar executives and board members in a decades-long scheme to avoid discipline.
