Built Protein Bars Brand Hit With Proposed Class Suit for Labels

A Built Brands LLC is facing a class action suit brought by a customer who says that some of the company’s protein bars contain less protein than their labels advertise.

This complaint comes in the wake of a couple of recent suits against Kellogg Co. and Alpha Prime Supplements, alleging the companies overstated the amount of protein in their products.

Sean Sullivan says he directed several third-party laboratories to test Built’s protein bars and “Puff” bars. The products say “they contain 15-19 grams of protein when they do not,” according to his complaint filed in the US District Court ...
