Race Car Driver’s Supplement Company Sued Over Protein Labels

Alpha Prime Supplements overstates the amount of protein in its protein brownie bites, a proposed class action alleged.

The nutrition panel for every version of the brownie bites states that each brownie contains 19 grams of protein, but really the products only contain between 14.7 grams and 17 grams, according to the complaint filed June 28 in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Alpha Prime didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

The company was founded by Caesar Bacarella, a stock car driver for Alpha Prime Racing.
