BLM Appeasing Meat Industry By Removing Wild Horses, Suit Says

The US Bureau of Land Management unlawfully called for the elimination of wild horses from over 1 million acres of federal lands in southwestern Wyoming, an animal rights group said in a federal lawsuit.

The decision would eliminate 1,003 horses from Salt Wells Creek, 875 from Great Divide Basin, and significantly reduce the 1,693-horse population in Adobe town, Friends of Animals said in its complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the District of Wyoming.
