Black Honda Worker Must Fix Class Claims in Promotion-Bias Suit

Honda Development & Manufacturing of America LLC was correct that a supervisor failed to sufficiently plead claims of systemic classwide discrimination against Black employees seeking to advance in the company, an Alabama federal judge ruled.

The deficiencies in the class allegations in Johnny Bush’s complaint include describing job practices that seemingly include subjective decision-making by individual managers “and a variety of different interactions and processes related to job openings,” the US District Court for the Northern District of Alabama said.
