Binance Affiliates Fail to Get High Court Review of Website Case

The US Supreme Court denied review Monday of a case in which Binance.US and an affiliated cryptocurrency website face a proposed class action over digital coin rankings on behalf of HEX token buyers.

The companies asked the justices to look at provisions in the Commodity Exchange Act and other laws governing whether personal jurisdiction exists over a defendant. They sought to reverse an August 2024 decision of the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit allowing HEX token holder Ryan Cox’s proposed class action against them to proceed.
