Biden’s Title IX Transgender Rule Blocked in More States (1)

The US Department of Education is enjoined from enforcing a rule that several states say improperly forces them to ignore a student’s biological sex in favor of “self-professed ‘gender identity,’” a Missouri federal district court said.

This case, brought by six states, is the latest among several suits seeking to block the rule, which expands Title IX protections against discrimination and harassment to include sexual orientation and gender identity. At least 14 other states have blocked the implementation of the rule, including Alaska, Kansas, Utah, Wyoming, Louisiana, Mississippi, Idaho, Montana, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, and West Virginia.
