Bellacor, Housewares Buyer Settle Deceptive Pricing Suit

Bellacor.com Inc. and a consumer alleging the online home furnishings retailer fools buyers with fake sales and made-up original prices have resolved the suit, according to a filing in a California federal court.

Andrew Inga alleged he thought he was getting a great bargain on a down pillow advertised as having a “compare” price of $108.05 and a sale price of $93.75, but later learned the pillow wasn’t ever sold at the supposed “regular” price.

He raised claims under California consumer protection laws.
