Bella Hadid Will Settle Copyright Suit Over Her Instagram Post

Isabella Hadid and a photographer’s company alleging the model infringed its copyright by posting a photo of herself on Instagram have settled their dispute, a federal judge said.

  • Chosen Figure LLC alleged Hadid copied and displayed on her Instagram story a photo of herself that it owned without its permission. Although Instagram stories disappear from users’ feed within 24 hours of posting, Chosen Figure asserted that Hadid—who was followed by more than 59 million users at the time—benefited from publishing the photo since her account is a part of a “popular and lucrative commercial enterprise”
