Bank of Canton Gets Last Nod for $300,000 MOVEit Hack Settlement

The Bank of Canton’s $300,000 settlement deal to resolve its part of the MOVEit Transfer software security incident received final approval from a federal court.

One of the mutual savings bank’s third-party service providers used Progress Software Corporation’s MOVEit, as did numerous commercial and government entities. MOVEit fell victim to a ransomware attack, leading to litigation in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts against Progress and its customers.
