Baltimore, Maryland Sue Glock Over ‘Machine Gun’ Switch Device

Maryland and the City of Baltimore have sued Glock Inc., seeking to hold the gun company liable for the proliferation of devices popularly known as “Glock switches” that illegally convert its semi-automatic handguns into automatic weapons.

The lawsuit, filed Wednesday at the Baltimore City, Maryland, circuit court comes after Glock and its parent company Glock Ges.m.b.H. were sued over the same issue in 2024 in separate suits by Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison and the city of Chicago.
