Amazon Ends Lawsuit Over Alleged Misuse of Megan’s Law Data (1)

Two segments of Amazon.com Inc. and a former temporary worker have ended his lawsuit over the alleged misuse of information from California’s Megan’s Law data.

The notice of settlement was filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Central District of California. The settlement details were confidential according to Miguel Lerma Jr.'s counsel, Ray Kim. Lerma sued Amazon.com Services LLC and Amazon Logistics Inc. in 2022 after he was denied a position due to two sexual offenses revealed during his background check.
