A former California temporary worker for Amazon.com Services LLC lost his bid to sue the company and its outside consultant, Accurate Background Inc., for allegedly misusing information obtained from the state’s Megan’s Law sex offender website.
Miguel Lerma Jr. alleged Accurate and Amazon improperly used that information to deny him employment.
The US District Court for the Central District of California granted motions to dismiss three of Lerma’s five claims on May 26.
