Amazon, Domino’s Ask High Court to Weigh-In on Arbitration Cases

Amazon and Domino’s want the US Supreme Court to add their transportation worker arbitration exemption arguments to its schedule after the high court agreed last month to consider a similar case involving Flowers Foods.

The high court should clarify whether the Federal Arbitration Act exemption—which covers workers involved in interstate commerce—applies to their local delivery drivers like the Ninth Circuit ruled in separate opinions issued earlier this year, the companies’ petitions said.

The petitions follow the Supreme Court’s Sept. 29 order agreeing to consider Bissonnette v. LePage Bakeries Park St. LLC. That case, which involves drivers who deliver ...
