Amazon Books and Records Inquiry Limited in Scope by Chancery

Amazon.com Inc. must grant a stockholder limited access to records, a Delaware judge ruled Wednesday in an opinion that also imposed limits on the use of obtained information.

Amazon was ordered in a letter opinion to produce certain board-level documents related to antitrust compliance and investigations, Vice Chancellor Bonnie W. David said. But the scope of the inspection sought by the Roberta Ann K.W. Wong Leung Revocable Trust was narrowed to only apply to the US and Italy, rejecting a request to include all of Europe.
