Amazon.com Inc. lost its bid Monday to shield internal files from a shareholder that sued for more information on its wide-ranging antitrust woes.

Delaware’s top court overturned a decision rejecting an investment trust’s demand for documents, saying a judge on the state’s elite business tribunal applied the wrong framework last year to conclude that the lawsuit had overreached. The justices sent the case back to Delaware’s Chancery Court, ordering the same judge to determine exactly which documents the ecommerce giant must turn over.
