Amazon, Black Woman Manager Agree to End Race, Gender Bias Suit

Amazon.com Inc. and a Black female company manager have agreed to end a suit in which she claimed Amazon discriminated against her by giving White and male counterparts illegal advantages in hiring, pay, and promotions.

The case brought by Charlotte Newman has been dismissed with prejudice, according to a stipulation filed Monday with the US District Court for the District of Columbia. Judge Dabney L. Friedrich dismissed the suit on the same day, according to a minute order filed in the docket. The terms for reaching the agreement weren’t included in the stipulation.
